Daniel testifies of God's goodness and His transformation power!
Hello, I am Daniel Rahadi from Trinity@Jakarta. I came to Trinity in 2019 but wasn’t regular in attending church as I had other priorities.
Savings Deplete, Insecurity and Despair Set in
2020 was a tough year for me. I lost my job in March, and in April lost my dad to cancer. I then pinned my hopes on a business plan that I was developing with a friend. But that also fell through, as investors pulled out due to COVID-19.
My dad had always supported me when I encountered challenges. With him gone, I felt all alone. I had no advisor and no pillar of support. I was jobless for months and inherited debts from my dad’s medical bills. Despite attempts to get a job, doors were closed. I watched my savings deplete as insecurity and despair set in.
Connect Group Prayer and Support
Throughout my challenges, my Connect Group (CG) members and pastors regularly visited and prayed with my family. Their genuine care helped me understand God’s love through His people. God also provided financially when I needed it most through Trinity’s Life Fund.
I used to struggle to accept the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. In my desire to know God more, I attended Trinity Academy’s Holy Spirit and I course. As a result, I learned to submit to Him, received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the online class, and fully experienced the love of God!
During this time, God opened my eyes and made me realize that I had placed my identity in my achievements and status, and not in Him. I repented before Him and surrendered my life and burdens to our loving God.
God’s Divine Provision, Grace and Favor
After this God encounter, I started working in a new industry and by God’s grace and favor, I have managed to close deals in my new job which helped me pay off my debts. It could not have happened at a more opportune time as creditors were knocking on my door. Months later, God led me to another job opportunity where I can serve Him with my gifts and talents. I am so thankful for God’s provision of a permanent job with a stable income amid the pandemic, and a job that I am passionate about.
Beyond the divine provisions, God has transformed me from someone who relies on my own strength to someone who relies entirely on God. I will continue to give of my best in whatever situations, but now it is with the understanding that it is God who sustains me. I am now regularly attending church and CG, and growing in my walk with Him.
The care and love that my pastors and leaders showed me have spurred me to share the love of God with others.
On December 31, 2020, my wife and I were water baptized and we also made the decision to commit as registered church members to see Trinity’s vision fulfilled in my generation.

I have completed Trinity Academy’s Spiritual Parenting * course, and through the guidance of my pastors and leaders, I am preparing to become a Spiritual Parent to help minister God’s love to others, just as I have also received and experienced His love.
Truly, The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalms 18:2) Amen!
